McHenry County College is a community college located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. It was established in 1965 as a part of the Illinois community college system. The college enrolls more than 2,000 full-time students and over 5,000 part-time students every semester. MCC provides credit and non-credit educational and training opportunities to its students. The college also offers free adult education, including ESL and literacy classes, and free GED classes.
MCC’s athletic department fields both men’s and women’s sport teams. They participate in a variety of sports like volleyball, basketball, softball and tennis. Its athletic teams are nicknamed the Fighting Scots and compete in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference.
