The Order of St. Augustine O.S.A. established the Merrimack College in 1947, which is a private Catholic liberal arts college. The sprawling 220-acre campus of the college is located in North Andover, Massachusetts. Merrimack College's recent enrollments have been more than 2,000 students. The student body represents more than 25 states in the US, and over 15 countries worldwide.

Merrimack College offers a host of undergraduate degrees, honors and graduate programs, as well as non-credit certificate programs. Students can opt for courses in liberal arts, business, and science and engineering. The School for Advanced Studies offers undergraduate and master’s degrees as well as professional education and certificate programs.

The sports teams of Merrimack College are known as the Warriors. They are members of NCAA Division I, Hockey East conference, and NCAA Division II. The teams participate in soccer, lacrosse, basketball, ice hockey, football, softball, tennis, and volleyball.
