Metropolitan Community College Blue River, also known as MCC Blue River or Blue River Community College, is located in Independence, Missouri. The Blue River campus joined Metropolitan Community College in 1997. MCC has 4 other campuses which are Business and Technology, Penn Valley, Longview, and Maple Woods. MCC Blue River offers educational programs through the following three academic divisions:

  • Division of Business Technology, Mathematics and Public Safety
  • Division of Humanities
  • Division of Natural Science and Social Sciences

Metropolitan Community College Blue River athletic teams are nicknamed Trail Blazers. Both male and female students participate in soccer. MCC Blue River is also a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
