Miles College is a private, liberal arts college located in Fairfield, Alabama. The Colored Methodist Episcopal Church established the school in 1905. It is an associate of the United Negro College Fund. The college was named in honor of Bishop William H. Miles. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The campus is spread across an area of 50 acres.

Miles College’s athletics department sponsors several men’s and women’s sports teams. They participate in sports like volleyball, track, baseball, basketball, football, softball and cross country. Its official mascot is the Golden Bears. They participate in the NCAA Division II and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
