The college serves more than 9,000 undergraduates and employs over 400 full-time staff. Miracosta College offers associate degrees and more than 50 different certificate programs. The Adult Learning Center of Miracosta was opened in 1992.

Miracosta College's team colors are white and red, and its nickname is the Spartans. The college has women’s soccer teams and men’s basketball teams. Actor Adam Brody and Kevin Towers, general manager of San Diego Padres are among the notable graduates of this college.
