Missouri Tech (MT) has been providing technical career centered training for over 70 years. Founded in 1943, the school and its programs are based around the technical careers, today's fastest growing and highest paying jobs. Known for producing highly successful graduates, Missouri Tech graduates are not only prepared for the work their jobs will entail, but also for the work place itself. Missouri tech, which is located in St. Louis, keeps good relations with employers for excellent job placement, to help their students through their entire educational process, from applying to the college to job placement.

Areas of Study

As a technical school, Missouri Tech offers many programs pertaining to the tech sector. All programs are accompanied by a foundation of computer training and workplace readiness, preparing graduates for the ever changing work situation. Some of the programs being offered include Network Administration Security, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Technology Certificate, and Engineering Management. Programs make use of the labs and equipment that are constantly being kept up to date to keep students on the cutting-edge.

Missouri Tech Selectivity

The application process at Missouri Tech is to schedule a tour of the school, and sign up for admission. The contact page can also be filled out for applicants who are too far away to visit the campus. In a phone interview or in-person interview an admissions counselor will go over an applicants goals, and match them up with a program if they don't already know which they want to be in.A completed application form, academic transcripts, and any other test scores or achievements must be submitted with the registration fee. An entrance examination must be passed, except when the applicant has an ACT score of 20 or better.

Missouri Tech Quality

All of the faculty, including the president, come from a long background in their respective fields. The faculty all knows what it takes to succeed in the work place of their respective areas of teaching. That allows them to not only give their students the knowledge required to get the job done, but also give them the tools they need to advance in the work place and build a rewarding career for themselves. In conjunction with the other facilities at Missouri Tech, the faculty are an effective power house of career education.

Missouri Tech Student Body

Most of the students who attend the school are from the surrounding Missouri and St. Louis area. The campus provides housing for students who can't commute from the surrounding Missouri area, so there are still many students from out of state who decide the attend the school. There is also an active international student office, and many come from around the world to attend Missouri Tech. The campus has several clubs and organization including a student government and student newspaper club.

Missouri Tech Student Life

Student life at Missouri Tech is focused around the work. With many labs and lounges around campus, many students take the opportunity to engage themselves, and each other, by doing work in these social settings. St. Louis is a large city with many attractions in and around the down town area, catering nicely to the college life with many restaurants, bars, clubs, and other entertainment outlets. Missouri itself is host to many attractions itself such as the St. Louis Cardinals, the Gateway Arch, and the American Jazz Museum.
