Mitchell College was established on September 14, 1938, as the New London Junior College. In 1950, the school was given its current name in honor of its benefactor, Alfred Mitchell. The campus of this private, liberal arts college is spread across 68 acres of land in New London, Connecticut.
Mitchell College awards Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Science degrees. A number of certificate programs are also available.
