Mohawk Valley Community College, also referred to as MVCC, is a two-year, coeducational, community college of the State University of New York. It is located in Oneida County, New York, United States. It was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Utica. In 1950, the college became a constituent unit of the State University of New York. In 1953, the County of Oneida took over the responsibility of sponsoring the College, which was then known as Mohawk Valley Technical Institute.
