Montgomery College was established in 1946. The college has approximately 60,000 credit and non-credit students and employs over 1,500 faculty members. This open access community college has three other campuses in:

The college offers 2-year associate’s degrees and many professional certificates in arts, applied science, teaching, fine arts, and science.

The sports teams of the college are nicknamed the Knights. Eglon Daley, famous painter; Jerome Williams, former NBA basketball player; Tori Amos, a noted pianist; and Barbara Walsh, an American musical theatre actress, are distinguished alumni of the college.
