Mount Mary College was founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1850. It was initially a women’s seminary known as St. Mary's Institute. The institute was renamed Mount Mary College in 1913. This Catholic women’s liberal arts institute sits on an 80-acre campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mount Mary College offers bachelor’s degrees in arts, science and nursing. Students can choose from over 60 undergraduate majors and several graduate programs. Master’s degrees are available in the fields of arts, business administration and science. The academic divisions of the college are:

The sports teams of Mount Mary College are known as the Blue Angels. They are members of NCAA Division III, and compete in basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. Students are also involved in clubs and organizations like the Madrigal Singers, the International Student Club, the Social Work Club, the Student Government and the Student Education Association.
