Mount Mary College was founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1850. It was initially a women’s seminary known as St. Mary's Institute. The institute was renamed Mount Mary College in 1913. This Catholic women’s liberal arts institute sits on an 80-acre campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The sports teams of Mount Mary College are known as the Blue Angels. They are members of NCAA Division III, and compete in basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
