Mount Vernon Nazarene University, also known as MVNU, is a Christian, liberal arts college located in Mount Vernon, Ohio, United States. It was established in 1968 as a junior college and feeder school for the Eastern Nazarene College (ENC). It was renamed Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2002. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.

MVNU’s athletics department sponsors several sports teams which participate in sports such baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, cross-country, golf, and soccer. MVNU’s teams are nicknamed the Cougars. The university participates in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) in the American Mideast Conference, and the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) in the East Region DI.
