Muhlenberg College, also referred to as 'Berg, is located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1848 by Reverend Samuel K. Brobst as the Allentown Seminary. The college adopted its present name in 1867. It was named after Henry Melchior Muhlenberg. Muhlenberg College enrolls more than 2,000 students annually. The campus encompasses over 80 acres in Allentown. The college offers an array of degrees and certificate programs and is organized into various academic departments.
'Berg is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. They participate in the Eastern College Athletic Conference and also in the Centennial Conference. The sports teams are nicknamed The Mules and they compete in golf, track and field, basketball, football, tennis, softball, cross country, lacrosse, volleyball, field hockey, wrestling, and soccer.
