Overview of National Massage Therapy Institute
The National Massage Therapy Institute (NMTI) is a career-training institution exclusively focused on teaching massage therapy. The Institute operates five campuses located in four Mid-Atlantic States. Campus locales include Falls Church, Virginia; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Wilmington, Delaware; and two New Jersey campuses in Turnersville and Egg Harbor. The Institute offers hands-on training programs in a convenient and flexible scheduling format. NMTI is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA).

Areas of Study
NMTI offers a 600-hour Massage Therapy certificate program designed to provide students the knowledge and skills they will need to practice with confidence. Successful program completion will also qualify graduates to sit for the National Certification Exam in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, which is required for licensure in most states. Course components include Swedish massage, sports massage, reflexology, shiatsu, ethics and good business practices. The standard program can be completed in as little as seven months or students may choose a twelve month program with a more relaxed schedule. Classes are offered during the day or evenings and on some campus locations weekend courses are also offered.
