Overview
Natural Motion Institute is a New Jersey cosmetology school which is part of the Empire Education Group, an enterprise with a national reputation for excellence in cosmetology education. Founded in 1965, Natural Motion has for several decades been providing hands-on training to its students and developing skill sets which its graduates have leveraged to establish successful careers in the beauty industry. Natural Motion is located in Jersey City and is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences, Inc. (NACCAS).

Areas of Study
Natural Motion offers two primary programs: Cosmetology and Educator Training. The Cosmetology program is a 1200-hour course of study which covers styling/cutting, coloring/texturing, hair cleansing, skin care, makeup, and more. The program also teaches all the skills formerly covered in the school's Barbering program. Natural Motion's Educator Training program involves 500 hours of study and covers such subjects as teaching methodologies, curriculum design, and classroom management.
Admissions
The basic first step needed to apply to Natural Motion is to contact the school. This can be done easily by filling out a simple online form. Applicants no younger than 16 years of age who hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent are eligible for admission. The diploma requirement is waived for applicants who pass an Ability to Benefit entrance exam.
Faculty
Members of Natural Motion's faculty are accomplished professionals who are fully licensed. Their focus is twofold: to foster their students’ success and satisfaction throughout their school experience and to create new opportunities for them to improve their lives.
Student Body
Enrollment at Natural Motion slightly exceeds 100 students. Female students comprise about 85% of this total. Approximately 55% of the student body attends full-time.
Student Life
Natural Motion is a commuter institute and its Jersey City campus location offers plenty of free parking for commuting students. For those who rely on public transportation, the campus is only a short walk from the PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation) station and on the route of several bus lines.
