New Castle School of Trades (NCST) has been providing education and technical training in a variety of career fields for over sixty years now. New Castle School of Trades was founded in 1945, and in 1954 moved to its present location in Pulaski, Pennsylvania. The school is accredited and is approved to award the Associate in Specialized Technology degree in the Electrical Technology field. They provide hands-on training to any looking to further their career or knowledge of the trades they offer.

New Castle School of Trades Selectivity
New Castle School of Trades admissions process always starts with a face-to-face meeting, as this helps them assess if the applicant is committed, and that the programs there would be of benefit. Applicants must pass an entrance examination, as well as provide a high school or equivalent diploma. Applicants must also have a personal interview to determine if they would benefit from the training programs. Applicants that do not possess a high school or equivalent diploma will be permitted to attend the school once they have passed an entrance exam (given by an independent third party tester). The school makes the final determination of whether or not a prospective student can attend or not.

Instructors at New Castle School of Trades are dedicated to teaching the curriculum in a hands-on environment that will help students make the transition from classroom to working environment almost seamless. Classes are structured to take advantage of the ever-changing working environment in some of the top technical fields in the world. Many instructors have hands-on experience of themselves, having worked previously in the very field they are teaching about. Instructors challenge students to take on new responsibilities and develop new skills to better prepare them for graduation.

There are no dorms on the campus, as most students commute and live in the outlying towns and cities.
