New Mexico State University - Carlsbad is a branch of the New Mexico State University which was established in 1888. Also referred to as NMSU - Carlsbad, the two-year community college is located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. NMSU's recent enrollments have been more than 1,000 students each year.

Students of NMSU - Carlsbad are offered several associate's and bachelor's degrees in the field of arts and science. Certificates and transfer degree programs are also available. The courses are offered through five academic divisions.
