"A small,private, residential, coeducational undergraduate college, with a small diverse student body, affiliated with the Evangelican Lutheran Church of America, Newberry College is dedicated to the intellectual, spiritual and personal development of its students in a caring and supportive academic environment. Through academic freedom, intellectual dialog, and diversity of viewpoint we hope to graduate students as informed, articulate and responsible human beings with the capacity for service, and continued personal and intellectual growth. To achieve our goals we combine a liberal arts curriculum with in-depth study in a wide variety of disciplines, professional and pre-professional fields."
