Niagara University, also referred to as Niagara, is located in Lewiston, New York, United States. This university was established in the year 1856 by the Congregation of the Mission. It was originally known as Our Lady of Angels Seminary. It gained university status in 1883. The university currently enrolls more than 3,000 students on an annual basis and offers over 50 academic programs. Niagara University has five degree-granting colleges under it. These are the:

  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • College of Business
  • College of Education
  • College of Hospitality and Tourism Management
  • College of Nursing

The athletic department of Niagara University sponsors over ten divisions. The sports teams in the university are nicknamed the Purple Eagles. They participate in sports such as ice hockey, baseball, basketball, softball, soccer, and tennis.
