Overview of North American Trade Schools

North American Trade Schools (NATS) was founded in 1970 in Landover, Maryland as the Diesel Institute of America (DIA). Its original purpose was to train diesel mechanics. As the Institute grew, its scope expanded to include training for commercial truck drivers. In 2002, DIA was purchased by its present owners, Education Enterprises. Two years later, the Institute underwent both a location change and a name change when it relocated to its present location in Baltimore and changed its name to North American Trade Schools. NATS today has a branch campus in London, Ontario, Canada and now offer several programs to choose from, making it one of North America's foremost technical training facilities.
