North Carolina Wesleyan College is located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. It was established in 1956, and is a four-year liberal arts college. The campus is spread across an area of 200 acres. The college offers bachelor's degrees in diverse areas of study. Students can choose from courses in environmental science, theater, sociology, mathematics, chemistry, and accounting, among others.

The athletics teams of North Carolina Wesleyan College are nicknamed the Battling Bishops. The college is a member of the USA South Athletic Conference and the NCAA Division III. The Battling Bishops participate in a number of sports including basketball, tennis, softball, and baseball. The college also has several student-run groups and organizations such as the Science Club, Alpha Phi Sigma, Music Club, Habitat for Humanity, and Cinematography Club.
