North Central College

North Central College, also known as NCC, is located in Naperville, Illinois, United states. It was established in 1861. It was originally named Plainfield College and was located in Plainfield, Illinois. The college opened its doors on November 11, 1861. It moved to its present location in Naperville in 1870. The college was renamed North Central College in 1926. The college campus covers an area of more than 55 acres. North Central College has a student-run newspaper known as "The Chronicle." It also operates a radio station known as WONC-FM 89.1.

NCC participates in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The sports teams are called the Cardinals. They are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. The sports teams include basketball, swimming, track and field, cross country, lacrosse, baseball, volleyball, tennis, football, wrestling, golf, softball, and soccer.
