North Iowa Area Community College

North Iowa Area Community College, also known as NIACC, is located in Mason City, Iowa, United States. It was established in 1918 as Mason City Junior College. In 1965, it became North Iowa Area Community College and, in 1970, moved to its current location in Mason City. The campus spreads across 500 acres of land. It offers enrollment to more than 3,000 students every year.

NIACC offers Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Science–Business, and Associate in Applied Science degrees. Students can also opt for transfer certificates or online courses.

Students of the college participate in a variety of clubs and organizations. These include the Art Club, Dance Team, Multicultural Student Union, and Phi Theta Kappa. The athletics department fields men’s and women’s teams in basketball, track and field, wrestling, baseball, football, golf, soccer, cross country, softball, and volleyball. The teams are known as the Trojans.
