Northeast State Technical Community College is a public, comprehensive community college located in Blountville, Tennessee. Northeast State was originally established as the Tri-Cities State Area Vocational-Technical School in 1966. It became a part of the State University and Community College System of Tennessee in 1983. It was given its present name on July 1, 1990.
Northeast State offers associates degrees in over 50 programs of study. Students can use these degrees to transfer to a number of local and regional four-year colleges or universities. The campus is home to a wide variety of clubs and organizations as well.
Northeast State can be found in Blountville, TN (a rural site not far from an urban area). The school is a public institution. The Associate's degree is the highest degree at Northeast State.
