Northeastern Illinois University is a public university situated in Chicago, Illinois. NEIU was established in 1867. The university has more than 1,500 staff members. NEIU offers undergraduate programs through:

  • College of Business and Management
  • College of Education

Northeastern Illinois University offers graduate programs through:

The sports teams of NEIU are called the Golden Eagles, and the team colors are royal blue and gold. The baseball team of the university won the Mid-Continent Conference championship in 1996. The university also has football, soccer, volleyball and softball teams. Miguel del Valle, former Illinois state senator, and esayist and scholar Muhammed Abdullah al-Ahari are among the famous alumni of this university.
