Northern Kentucky University is a co-educational public university situated in Highland Heights, Kentucky. It has an undergraduate, liberal arts college, and also offers graduate programs. The university offers enrollment to more than 14,000 students. It is the 2nd largest university in Greater Cincinnati. NKU has 6 colleges under it:

NKU mascot is Norse, and its colors are black, white and gold. The university has volleyball, golf, tennis, cross country, soccer, basketball, softball and baseball teams. Suzanne Fitzpatrick, television writer; Gary Webb, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist; Shawn Nordheim, Mrs. Kentucky 2006; Jenny Robertson, actress; and actor George Clooney are among the notable alumni of the university.
