Northwestern Business College (NBC) is a Chicago, Illinois institution offering career-oriented training in a variety of fields, including health care, information technology, business, and legal studies. Founded in 1902 as a business school, the College has undergone over a century's worth of evolution involving ownership and site changes, as well as expansion in curriculum and locales. The school also offers non-credit courses focusing on professions regulated by the state. These courses, offered as part of NBC's Professional & Continuing Education Center, provide training and education for earning or maintaining a license as a real estate agent, property appraiser, home inspector, or insurance agent.

Northwestern Business College Admissions

NBC's quick and convenient application is available via the Internet and can be filled out online or submitted in hard copy. Prospective students must be high school graduates or hold a GED (General Educational Development) equivalency diploma. Applicants must also have an ACT (American College Test) score of at least 15 or a SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) score of at least 550. In lieu of ACT or SAT scores, the placement examination administered on campus may be used for admission.

The student body is comprised of more than 2,100 students, about 56% of which are part-time. Approximately 80% of the students are female.

Northwestern Business College Student Life

Students at NBC commute to class. All three campuses are convenient and accessible, with plenty of parking available. The Chicago campus is in Jefferson Park, easily accessible by public transit or the Kennedy and Edens Expressways. The Bridgeview location is especially convenient for residents from the south part of Chicago or people who live or work in the southwest suburbs. The school's Naperville campus affords ideal access to those commuting from the Western suburbs.
