Oklahoma State University Main Campus is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. It is a coeducational public research university and was established in the year 1890. Initially called the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (Oklahoma A&M), it is the chief institution of the Oklahoma State University System. The university enrolls more than 20,000 students. It is a land-grant university and has the following colleges under it:
Oklahoma State University’s athletics teams are nicknamed the Cowboys. Pistol Pete is the mascot, and the official colors are orange and black. The main sports played here are football, basketball and wrestling.
