Oral Roberts University, also referred to as ORU, was established in 1963 and is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This university was named after its founder, Oral Roberts, the evangelist. The university offers its students graduate and undergraduate programs in a range of subject areas including business, education, arts and cultural studies, science and engineering, and nursing.

The athletic teams of Oral Roberts University are named the Golden Eagles. ORU is a member of the Summit League and the male and female students of the college take participate in sports such as basketball, tennis, golf, cross country and soccer. The famous alumni of this university includes Todd Burns, former Major League baseball player; David Barton, author and commentator; and Brian Graden, television executive.
