The athletic teams of OCC are known as the Pirates. Blue and orange are the official colors. Teams compete in soccer, tennis, water polo, cross-country, golf, swimming, track and field, volleyball, basketball, and baseball. Journalist Pham Xuan, actor David Denman, politician Ross Johnson, singer Habib Quderi, actor Patrick Warburton and fashion designer Paul Frank are among the notable alumni of Orange Coast college.
