Oregon Health & Science University, also known as OHSU, is a public university located in Portland, Oregon, United States. It was founded in 1974 as the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center. It was renamed Oregon Health Sciences University in 1981 and took its present name in 2001. In addition to its main campus in Portland, OHSU has a smaller branch campus in Hillsboro. The main campus includes three hospitals. The university offers a wide variety of dentistry, medicine, and nursing programs in several areas of study.
