Overview of Orlando Culinary Academy

Established in 2002, Orlando Culinary Academy brings internationally respected Le Cordon Bleu culinary arts education to the Central Florida region. While the Orlando Culinary Academy is relatively new, Le Cordon Bleu’s original school started over 110 years ago in Paris and rapidly established itself as a highly respected culinary arts college. The school’s affiliation with Le Cordon Bleu provides students with classical European chef education blended with North American culinary invention.

Areas of Study

Programs are offered in the areas of culinary arts, baking/pastry making and restaurant management.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts is a fifteen month program – twelve months in the classroom and the remainder in an externship where students practice what they’ve learned in a real-world setting.

Orlando Culinary Academy Admissions and Financial Aid

Students who have completed high school (or who have a GED) are eligible to apply. The school does require a personal interview, preferably on-campus. While other requirements may apply, the admissions process is generally straightforward and non-competitive.

Tuition assistance in the form of financial aid is available to applicants who meet certain eligibility requirements. The school’s financial aid staff is available to assist students in securing the financial help they need to pursue their studies. Aid in the form of federal grants, work/study programs and loans are all possible elements of a financial aid package.

The teaching staff at Orlando Culinary Academy is comprised of experienced, highly qualified chefs who understand the practical and theoretical side of their art. Small class sizes makes for an environment more conducive to learning.
