Pacific University is a private, independent, liberal arts institution located in Forest Grove, Oregon, United States. It was established in 1849 as Tualatin Academy by the United Church of Christ (UCC). The university offers graduate programs in a wide variety of fields such as writing, education, optometry, and health professions. Pacific University is organized into the following academic divisions:
Pacific University sponsors more than 20 intercollegiate programs. The men’s and women’s sports teams compete in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, and soccer. Pacific University participates in the NCAA Division III program as a member of the Northwest Conference. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Boxers. The university also has a cheerleading team.
