Panola College is a community college situated in Carthage, Texas. The College is named after the Panola County, Texas. It was founded in the year 1947, and began its operations in January 1948. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.

Panola College’s athletics department sponsors several men’s and women’s sports teams. They participate in sports including volleyball, basketball, baseball, and rodeo. The men’s sports teams are nicknamed as the Ponies, and the women's teams are called the Fillies. They participate in the Region XIV Athletic Conference of National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
