Paris Junior College, also known as PJC, was originally established in 1924 as a campus of the Paris Independent School District in Texas. The college now operates three campuses which are Paris, Greenville, and Sulphur Springs. It boasts a total enrolment of more than 4,000 students each year and offers a wide variety of associate’s degrees and certificates. The college also includes the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology which offers training in gemology, watchmaking, horology, and others.
PJC’s athletics department fields several men’s and women’s sports teams. Their official mascot is the Dragon. The sports men’s sports teams are nicknamed as the Dragons and the women’s teams are known as the Lady Dragons.
