Penn Foster High School, headquartered in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is a highly regarded distance education high school. Originally known as International Correspondence School (ICS), the school today is part of the very successful Penn Foster family of schools, which also includes Penn Foster College and Penn Foster Career School. Penn Foster High School students can earn a complete high school diploma or take individual courses completely at home and on their own timetable. The school is both nationally and regionally accredited.

Areas of Study

A High School Diploma can be earned from Penn Foster in as little as nine months for each year of high school required. Alternatively, individual courses can be taken for those who only need a course or two. Just a sample of some of the subjects covered include:

Penn Foster High School Student Life

Students are not constrained by a set class schedule, and therefore are able to work at their own pace and study when and where it's convenient. The program consists of several Instruction Modules and Electives which take the student step-by-step through the lessons needed. Lessons are available online and on paper, giving students the option of using the study method most convenient to them.
