Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Erie-Behrend College is a state-related, public university located on the Commonwealth campus of Pennsylvania State University. It was established in the year 1948. The college's campus spreads over an area of more than 720 acres and enrolls over 4,000 students annually. The college offers more than 30 baccalaureate majors, over 15 minors, more than 2 graduate programs, and over 5 associate degree programs. It is organized into the following academic divisions:

Penn State Behrend’s athletics department fields several men’s and women’s sports teams. They are nicknamed the Behrend Lions. They are members of the NCAA Division III, Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
