The curriculum is for individuals that have a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or business. The objective of the program is to prepare students to manage each phase of a commercial or residential construction process. The curriculum emphasizes practical application.
The construction management master's degree program offers a comprehensive review of subjects such as project economics, advanced construction techniques and representation models; scheduling and risk management; project planning, health and safety; and legal and contractual issues.
The program emphasizes green building methods. A significant component of the program is the integration of techniques, methods and materials of sustainable building into the construction process. The Leadership in Energy and Ecological design (LEED) standards and the regulations established by the United States Green Building Council are thoroughly reviewed.
Admissions
The admissions requirements vary by program. Candidates for the construction management master's degree program need to have a bachelor's degree. Regarding financial aid, many of the graduate students receive financial aid in the form of assistantships, scholarships and loans. Philadelphia University participates in the US Title IV financial assistance programs.

Regarding athletic teams, Philadelphia University is a member of the CACC conference. The teams play at the Division II level. The university also includes a fitness center, tennis courts and a softball field.
The Career Services Center representatives assist alumni and students with career and professional development needs. The career service personnel connect students to job opportunities and industry representatives through the Corporate Connections and Design Expo, CareerLink and Career Spotlights which provides industry speakers on campus.
Students of Philadelphia University have opportunities to watch Philadelphia's professional sports teams. The city also includes Fairmount Park, one of the world's largest municipal parks. The area also provides students opportunities for biking, hiking, boating and other activities. The city also includes numerous nightclubs.
