Pinellas Technical Education Center, also known as PTEC, was established in the year 1965. The campus is divided into two locations, St. Petersburg and Clearwater. PTEC offers programs in the fields of career training, apprenticeship, continuing education, and industry services. A number of courses are also available through the distance learning program. In addition, various adult education programs are available. The institution also hosts a nursing program.

Pinellas Technical Education Center maintains an active student life. The campus of PTEC is home to clubs and organizations such as the national technical honor society.
