Point Loma Nazarene University, also knnown as PLNU, is a Christian, liberal arts college located in San Diego, CA, United States. It was established in 1902 as the Pacific Bible College. After a few name changes, it received university status in 1998. The main campus is situated on Loma Oceanfront Point in San Diego. It also operates several regional centers in Arcadia, Inland Empire, Bakersfield, and Mission Valley, San Diego.
PLNU is a member of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The university offers over 12 athletic programs for both men and women. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Sea Lions. The Sea Lions compete in cross-country, soccer, basketball, golf, baseball, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and softball.
