Pomona Unified School District, commonly referred to as PUSD, traces its history to the first school of the Pomona Valley that was set up in 1871. In 1954, it was established under its present name as a result of the unification of the Pomona Elementary School District, Spadra Elementary School District, and Pomona High School District. The Adult and Career Education department of PUSD is located in Pomona, California.

Pomona Unified School District Adult and Career Education department offers career technical education that prepares adults for employment and career advancement. The special English-as-a-second language program caters to the non-native speakers of English.
