Post University was established in 1890. The main campus is situated on a hilltop in Waterbury, Connecticut. Satellite campuses are situated across Connecticut. The university provides associate, bachelor's and master's degrees and certificates in a variety of fields. Day and evening courses are available. In addition, Post University provides online degrees. Special career programs with local companies are also offered. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges has provided accreditation.

The university offers programs in the areas of social services, criminal justice, environmental sciences, technology, health, entertainment/sports and business. The school also provides online degree programs. Hands on-learning is emphasized in many of the programs. Post University's main campus and regional campuses provide part-time accelerated degree programs and professional certificates that have been designed for adults. The programs offer eight-week modules and are taught in the evenings and during the weekends.
Post University Admissions
The admissions personnel guide applicants through the admissions procedure. Freshman are required to submit a copy of their high school transcript. Students need to send Sat or ACT scores to the university. Also, students need to submit at least one letter of recommendation. Concerning financial assistance, federal aid, grants and loans are available. Private academic scholarships are also available to eligible students.

Waterbury is located in the beautiful Central Naugatuk Valley Region. The school is located about 90 minutes away from the activities and attractions available in New York City. Amtrak's Northeast Corridor offers convenient transportation.
