Ridgewater College was established in 1996. It is a comprehensive community and technical college which has campuses in Willmar, Minnesota and Hutchinson, Minnesota. The Willmar campus is a regional hub for recreation and entertainment. The Hutchinson campus has a strong and diverse industrial base with a capable retail system. The college offers over 100 educational programs in technical and occupational education, as well as in transfer options. Among these, photography, agriculture, and veterinary clinic programs are the most popular. Ridgewater College records an enrollment of more than 5,500 students annually.

Ridgewater’s student body is active and impressive. The college possesses a prominent athletics department participating in several sports competition and events such as the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) and Region 13. Their sports teams are known as the Warriors and the Lady Warriors. The students compete in games including baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, golf and others.
