River Valley Community College was established in 1968 as the New Hampshire Community Technical College at Claremont. Its main campus is located in Claremont, New Hampshire. River Valley Community College also operates the Keene Academic Center in Keene, New Hampshire. More than 1,000 students enroll in the college every year.

River Valley Community College offers more than 15 Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree programs. Diploma and certificate programs are also offered, along with non-credit courses, continuing education programs, and online courses.
