In 1942, the name was changed to Rockford School of Business, and in 1963, it became Rockford School of Business & Engineering. The college, which was given its present name in 2008, is located in Rockford, Illinois.

Rockford Career College offers a variety of degree and diploma programs. Courses are available in business administration, accounting, information technology, paralegal studies, and healthcare.

Students of RCC are provided financial assistance to help complete their education. Federal Pell Grants, FSEOG, Academic Competitiveness Grants, Stafford loans, Veterans Benefits, and scholarships are available to eligible candidates.
