Rockingham Community College, also known as RCC, was established in 1963, and is a public community college situated in Wentworth, North Carolina. The institution is a part of the North Carolina Community College System. The college offers associate’s degrees in the fields of arts, science, and applied science. Various courses are also offered through distance learning programs. Technical degree programs are also provided by RCC. The college is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • The Humanities/ Social Sciences Division
  • The Math/ Science Division

RCC’s athletics department sponsors various men’s and women’s sports teams. The teams are nicknamed as Eagles. They participate in sports including baseball, basketball, softball, golf, and volleyball. The Eagles compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
