Rocky Mountain College is located on a 60-acre campus in Billings, Montana. It was founded as the Montana Collegiate Institute in Deer Lodge, Montana in 1878. It was later renamed the College of Montana, and merged with Billings Polytechnic Institute in 1935, given its current name soon after .
Rocky Mountain College offers more than 45 undergraduate major programs in over 20 disciplines. The college also offers master's degree programs in the fields of physician assistant studies, accounting, and educational leadership. In addition, several pre-professional and study-abroad programs are available.
The sports teams of RMC are nicknamed the Bears. The college is a member of the Frontier Conference, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Grand Teton Conference, and the United States Ski and Snowboard Association.
