The foundation of the university dates back to 1926, when the South Jersey Law School was established. The campus is spread across an area of more than 45 acres. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:

RUC’s athletic teams are members of NCAA. The Gleaner is the weekly student-run newspaper of the university, and WCCR-Camden is its Internet based radio station.
