Saint Ambrose University, also referred to as SAU, is located in Davenport, Iowa, United States. It was established in the year 1882 by the Most Reverend John McMullen, DD, the first Bishop of Davenport. Originally, the university was a seminary and a school of commerce for young men. It offers degrees through the following colleges:

The men's sports teams of SAU are known as the Fighting Bees, and the women's teams are called the Queen Bees. The women take part in sports such as basketball, golf, softball, tennis, cross country, and volleyball, whereas the men participte in baseball, basketball, football, soccer, golf, and cross country. SAU also has a large number of clubs and organizations on campus including the Finance Club, Phi Alpha Delta, and Student Government Association.
