Salish Kootenai College, located in Pablo, Montana, is a tribally controlled college. Commonly referred to as SKC, the Salish Kootenai College was chartered in 1977 by the Confederated Kootenai and Salish Tribes. Prior to 1978, SKC was a branch campus of the Flathead Valley Community College. It was established as a separate entity in the year 1981. The campus of the college is spread across an area of 100 acres.

Salish Kootenai College offers associate's and bachelor’s degrees in diverse areas of study such as nursing, business technology, social work, and environmental science. Several certificate programs are also available.

Salish Kootenai College's sports teams are nicknamed the Bisons. The students participate in sports including basketball. The college also supports various clubs and organizations such as the SKC AISES, and Student Senate.
