San Diego City College, also known as the City College or simply as City, is a public, two-year community college located in San Diego, California. Founded in 1914, City College is administered by the San Diego Community College District which includes the San Diego Mesa College as well as the San Diego Miramar College . The campus consists of more than 35 buildings on 56 acres.
City College has a semester-based academic calendar and it enrolls more than 10,000 students. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in several fields of study. The City Times is the school newspaper that was founded in 1945.
The athletic department of the college has sports teams that participate in a variety of sports including baseball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and tennis. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Knights.
